Theme Thursday~~ FALL

Hello everyone hope you all are so far having a great week!
Today is Theme Day Thursday ~Fall over at My Cricut Craft Room. So if you haven't already go ahead and head over there to see what the design team made.

Here is what I made. This is a new card, I have never even heard of such a card till now. It's a waterfall type card! This was very simple to make.

I used Doodlecharm cartridge, to make the pine cone.

Then I used the Cartridge Potpourri Basket to make the Acorn.

Then at the end when you pull the tab all 4 cards make a waterfall effect and then there is a secret message at the end!
This is new to me and it was fun, I will make more to add to this collection.
Hope you all have a great crafting day!

Creative Card Tuesday!

Good Morning! Today over at  My Cricut Craft Room it is Creative Card Tuesday!! So make sure you check out what the design team came up with!
Now I know Erica likes it when we use our cricuts or imagine machines, but I forgot to use it lol! So I wanted to show you that I am trying out new projects and see what I can make or come up with.
I am a new beginner and I think my projects are getting better each day! SO my advice to you all is never give up and try new things! Practise does make perfect!

So here is my Card that I made for today!
Its a Surprise shutter Card!

Here its is!

This is how the shutter comes out and its a secret compartment!
I think this is such a great card for kids!!

This is what the card looks like with the shutter piece in the card!

Instructions how I did  this:
  1. First I got a regular card that is measured at 8 1/2x 5 1/2
  2. Then Cut a piece of Card stock (same color as your original card) at 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
  3. Then Cut two pieces of card stock( I chose Whisper white) at 5"X 2 1/4

Here is an example of the whisper white:

This is how I decorated the inside!

4. Then choose your stamps for the top of the shutter card and the bottom of the shutter card!
5. Then put everything on the side and take your original card and place one of the whisper white cardstock and trace it  and then cut it out. Now make sure there is a  little room on both sides of the card just so you can put the shutter card in the card and it fits perfectly.
6. Then open your regular card up place your 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 cardstock on the bottom of the card and take your bottom of your shutter card (white whisper) and glue it on the cardstock.
7. then glue just 1/2 inch on the top and the bottom and .2' from the corners just so you can place the top of the shutter card that pulls in and out.
8. Punch a hole and place a ribbon at the end of the card stock and that is going to help the recipient to pull out the card!
Now decorate your card!
This is my first shutter slider card! I'M TRYING OUT NEW PROJECTS!
Hope you all have a great Tuesday! Make sure you come back tomorrow to see what I come up with Would You Ever Guess Wednesday !

Haley's first day was Great! She told me today,"Mom I wasn't even shy"! Gotta love 8 year old! Yes I did cry this morning when she went on her bus! (Giggle)
I really hope you all understand my instructions on this card! Try it out! So fun!

It's Imagine-Nation Monday!

Hello bloggers. Today is Imagine-Nation Monday over at My Cricut Craft Room. Don't forget to go see what the Design Team came up with! Boy these women are all talented.
I tried some thing new, and that is....

An Explosion Box!

And the inside....

How I made this card box was ..
  1. I first cut a piece of cardstock 7 1/2 by 7 1/2
  2. I then took my Martha Stewart score board and scored my card at 2 1/2 and 5 inch marks.
  3. Then I stamped the inside using my One dollar stamps from Michael with black ink
  4. I took embossing markers and then I colored the pictures
  5. I used clear embossing powder on the pictures
  6. Used the Heat gun
  7. Then you crease your score lines
  8. I pushed all the score lines together and it's awkward shape but just go with your instinct, that's what it is supposed to look like.
(I forgot to tell you I used the Imagine Cartridge( Everything Is Better Together)
That's how the outside box paper came from. Great paper color's on this Cartridge.

Now for the LID.....

  1. I cut the pink paper (yes from the same cartridge) at 4 1/4 by 4 1/4
  2. Then I scored the card at 3/4 on all four sides
  3. Once you do that you then cut all four little ends up to the score lines
  4. Then you fold all the small pieces inwardI used snail tape and taped the small pieces to the long pieces
Now you should have your box and lid! (Pointers) You should decorate the lid before gluing or taping the sides. That way your not damaging the delicate lid by putting something heavy on it!

Well I hope you understand my directions, make sure you come back tomorrow to see what I made for Theme Tuesday! Create a Card!
Hope you all have a great day and once again thank you fro praying for my family and I!

Card Creating Day

Good morning everyone. I am so excited to share my creation.
Don't forget to stop and look at all the other great cards that were created by the design team over at My Cricut Craft Room.

Ta-da I made my very first Diamond Explosion pop up card!
What do you think??
I made this card using the Martha Stewart Cartridge( All Occasion). That's where I came up with the dragon fly. I embossed the body, and put pop-a-dots to make it more 3 dimensional. The flowers are Jolees stickers. The paper I used was Jen Wilson( Totally Girl) Boy I love this paper. I embossed with gold powder for the stamp "Especially For You".

This is what the inside looks like!

So this was my first Diamond card!  I love making this and this will not be the last time you see this type of card! Make sure you come back to see what I came back for Monday's theme Imagin-ation Monday!
Well I hope you all had a great weekend because I sure did!
Have a great crafting Day and tomorrow my daughter starts THIRD GRADE!! AGH!!

Scrapbooking Saturday

Today is all about layouts! Check out all the creative layouts over at My Cricut Craft Room!  I just wanted to say Yippee I have 30 followers now! Do you know how excited I am. I hope you all are learning a little from me. I am new at this whole cricut/imagine world. I have been learning a lot.
I made a layout back in December when my son and I lived at the Ronald McDonald house waiting for a liver transplant for my son! Ethan was 10 months old...It's amazing how time flies. This layout bring tears to my eyes because this is only a piece of what we went through.

Now remember I made this back in December when I first received my cricut. I used Alphlicious Cartridge to make the words. I also used these cute doctor and nurse stickers. Yes they are Jolees.

The x-ray was made by using the Sugar and Spice Cartridge.
I hope you all have a blessed day and a crafting one as well. Thanks for stopping by! Now check out the rest of the talented design team over at My Cricut Craft Room.

Festive Friday~Christmas

Today is Festive Friday over at the My Cricut Craft Room. (Giggle) Halloween  is my favorite holiday and I feel like I'm a traitor!  Today I wanted to do Erica's favorite holiday and that is Christmas. Erica has shown me some awesome new tricks and I wanted to show them to you all in this card I made for today's theme!
I used the Cartridge Doodlecharm for the cute Reindeer. I cut the reindeer at 4 inches and I actually cut the reindeer three times so I can make it more 3D. I embossed her nose and I took a stamp marker and added eyelashes and made a smile and added ears. I also embossed her ears with gold embossing powder. I think she looks cute.
I also used celebrate with Flourish Cartridge to make Merry Christmas and added a little more to the words by adding shadows to it. I added Red and Green paper to the lettering, you can't really see it in this picture.
The paper that I used also was called Bright and Jolly by Recollections.

In the inside I added a little something to this card! By the way I bet you didn't know but those presents are actually supposed to be candy stickers. Also the Christmas Tree was also used by the cartridge doodle charm. The little elf above is from one of the pages from the Bright and Jolly paper.
Well I hope you like my first Christmas Card!
I sure had a blast making this card! Hope you all have a great Crafting Day!

Happy Camper~ Theme Thursday!

Yippee!! Couldn't wait for today to share this idea!  Several of us girls on the design team was given Imaginisce Happy Camper paper. Don't forget to check out My Cricut Craft Room to see what the other ladies came up with using this paper.

Here is my card that I made using Imaginisce Happy Camper paper.

I had made a Tri-fold card. The Cartridge that I used was Cindy Loo of course!

The squirrel was cut at 2.5" on the imagine. Then I used brass embossing powder to give the squirrel some definition.
Also the little card that he is holding I brushed a little brown stamp pad  on the outside to give it a little shadow. I had a lot of fun making this card! Yes this is my very first tri-fold card! Hope you enjoy it!

Would You Ever Guess Wednesday!

Hello everyone! I have been really busy with my son again! (Sigh) Had gotten one of those phone calls from the transplant nurse about Ethan's labs not looking so great. His kidneys look really dry and they wanted me to drive all the way to Cincinnati again. This is the second time in two weeks. If you all don't know my son had received a liver transplant at 15 months on Feb 18th, 2011. He is NOW 6 months post transplant! However we do still have these ups and downs. So I apologized if you wanted to see how I made my card today and I posted way late.
Erica and I had so much fun last weekend !  I am so thankful that I am able to work side by side with Erica and the design team. Erica teaches me new things every day!
I am learning a lot and I hope you  will like my upcoming projects that I have plan to show you all. I am extremely excited!  Well here is my card! Way simple lol.... but it's my idea!

I used The Cindy Loo Cartridge. This is my new favorite Cartridge. I cut the Vines at 3" and the Crazy card design at 4". The paper is absolutely beautiful!

Check out how Erica over at My Cricut Craft Room made my card from above to this in 10 mins!!!
I hope you all have learned something from seeing these projects because I sure have! Also thank you all again for the prayers that were sent our way. I just wanted to let everyone know my Ethan is doing well, and regardless what his labs look like..the doctor thinks that they are over analyzing his labs and he just wants to watch Ethan and give his body a rest. We have been doing lab work twice a week! I am happy to say we have one more clinic with his GI doctor up in Akron Ohio next week and one more time for labs and then if everything looks okay; then we don't have to go to Cincinnati until 3 months from now and lab work is going to be ONLY once a month! So i wanted to thank you all again and God Bless!

Festive Friday~ Halloween

Yippee..This is my favorite day!! I know its Friday but its FESTIVE FRIDAY over at My Cricut Craft Room ! I first want to tell you all my blogger friends who have been praying for my son, Thank you! You all don't know how much it means to me that people out there that don't even know me and my family prayed for us. Thank you Mrs. Connie Gail. Thank you for waking up in the morning and adding us to your prayers. I have spent 9 months living in the Ronald McDonald House and watching miracles happen every day! I did have a friend who lost her son to the same disease that my son had when her son was only 5 months old. So I have seen death numerous of times, during my stay there but it made me strong!  I believe that God is not finish with my son! He has great plans for me and my family. So I just wanted to thank you all for the prayers for my son (Ethan). I had received the best news in a long time, and that is that Ethan just needs to be left alone and heal. They are leaving him alone and just doing labs once a week and then we see a liver doctor in Akron Ohio in 2-3 weeks from now and then a monthly check up in Cincinnati and if everything goes well then we will only have to see the doctor once in 3 months. How awesome is that!?? Also I am getting married on September 24th to the man of my dreams and my children all three will BE THERE!! Also my whole family as well!

Okay Okay I know; where is the creative project that I made..

Well here it is!!

I did HALLOWEEN!! (SMILING) What else could I do?? Like I told you before Halloween is my favorite holiday! So i hope you love my idea as much as I do, and did I mention how much I love Halloween!

I used the famous cartridge that I own, well i think it is famous because I use it a lot! Demask Decor! I love this cartridge so much that I will be using it for the 100 cartridge blog hop that is coming up! So  how I made this was that I cut the image on my Imagine at 4.5" and then I used green and orange paper to layer and those were cut at 4". Then I used Martha Stewart's Glitter pens to give it a little more pizazz on this card! What do ya'll think?? I love it! I think this was simple but you know what I am a simple girl! Simple is okay and better in my BIG Brown Eyes !

Ha and what do you find inside... a cute spider! This cute spider was added using the Designer's Calender Cartridge.
I added the orange glitter pen for the spiders eyes.

Like I said this card is simple, but the point of making this card was that I wanted to show beginners that you too can make a simple card like this and people are going to love this as much as a complex card that you see people making. So I hope I can teach someone that its okay to be  simple.

Well I hope everyone has a great crafting  day and make sure that you come visit back here on Sunday  to see what I made for Card Creating Sunday! Its going to be amazing and yes embossing is involved! I'm getting a little better! I was taught using some techniques and I will be teaching you!
Thank you again for praying for me and my family! God Bless

Card Creating Tuesday!

Hello and Welcome to my blog! Today over at My Cricut Craft Room is card creating Tuesday! There are a lot of talented ladies that made some amazing cards today. Stop by there to see there ideas and projects. Here is what I designed for today's theme.

The cartridge that I used to make this card was Better Together Imagine Cartridge and I loved how the berries came out. I also used the Imagine Cartridge BLOSSOM and that's where I came up with the paper.

I made this cute flower for the inside. I couldn't just leave it blank..you know me and my pizazz(smile).

Well I hate to say this but if you visit my blog and I hardly post this week it is because Monday Evening, I had found out some bad news about my son Ethan. If you didn't know already he had a liver transplant at the age 15 months, back in Feb 18. Well we have been in and out of the hospital since then and now his lab work that he gets done once a week came back outta whack and so i have to travel to Cincinnati Children's hospital and get lab work done early tomorrow, if his lab work stays the same or worsens then he will need to get a liver biopsy and bone marrow biopsy. If his lab work improve then we can go home. So I am very busy trying to take care of my son, and by the way i am also planning my wedding for September 24th,2011. So please pray for me and my son. I hope everyone has a great night and great rest of the week. God Bless!

Card Creating Sunday!

Welcome to Card Creating Day over at My Cricut Craft Room. This card was inspired by my zebra striped card that I had made a couple weeks ago. My twin sister called me and asked me if I could make her sister-in-law Victoria a Birthday card for her 21st birthday! Of course I could do that for her. My sister Miranda lives in Texas and I miss her very much. I hope Victoria likes it.

I used Demask Decor cartridge. I use this for a lot of the cards that I make. I absolutely love the styles of the design for cards, and you can also make awesome Victorian style flowers with this Cartridge.
I also used the paper mat called ALL DRESSED UP. The paper title is fitting because it does make the card all dressed up with all the Glitter! I am also a glitter fanatic!

The inside letters was from the Imagine Cartridge Baby Boutique! Yes I use this cartridge a lot also. I love the letters! So pretty! I added a touch of  pizazz with stickers. Also the Wine glass I embossed with black powder, I am still learning how to emboss, so kinda hard to read the letters on the glass. I am not perfect and it take practise...Lots apparently...(Smile)
(Pointer) One of the girls from the design team said use a Softener sheet from the laundry room and rub it on your paper before you emboss and it will make the powder stick to the paper where it is supposed to set. Also it won't make those splattering spots on your project! I have yet tried this. guess what I am going to buy at the grocery store today?? Fabric  Sheets.
Well I hope you learned something from me lol....I learn everyday from this Fabulous Design Team.

Well I had to show a matching envelope that I had made to go with the card. Also made from Demask Decor.
Well I truly hope you all stop over at My Cricut Craft Room and see all the other cards the design Team made.  Stop by tomorrow to see what I have made for Monday's Theme!
Have a great crafting day!

Welcome To Scrapbook Saturday!

Welcome To Scrapbook Saturday over at My Cricut Craft Room!
I made a Layout for my son's (Ethan) first haircut. This meant a lot to me because he was so tiny and these pictures were pre~transplant! If you didn't know this my son was diagnosed with a rare liver disease called Biliary Atresia at the age of 2 months old! He had received his gift of life on Feb 18, 2011. He is doing quite well but he will be in the danger zone till the age of 5. We have been in and out of the hospital since the age of two months and I had to live at the Ronald McDonald House for 9 months. Let me tell you that was the hardest 9 months of my life. I was separated from my daughter (Haley) who is 8 and my fiance (Chris) for this period of time! I live each day to the fullest and do not take life for granted.

Here is the Layout that I had made for my son's scrapbook! Enjoy!
The Title was made out of the Alpahlicious Cartridge. I loved making the Title because it was so different! Also it was really simple to make the letters! I can't remember what paper I used (sorry). I know the stickers were from a Kit.

I also used vellum stickers. It adds a little more to your projects! I love using vellum!
Well this was my layout that I had made .
Stop over to My Cricut Craft Room to see what other cool projects the design made!!
Have a fantabulous crafting day! Don't forget to stop by tomorrow to see what I have made for Card Creating Day Sunday!

Festive Friday!

I love doing Fridays Theme for My Cricut Craft Room ! Why you say, because my favorite holiday is HALLOWEEN! So this gives me a great excuse to make Halloween projects. This is what I came up with!

This was so much fun to make.I used the celebrate with flourish  cricut cartridge to cut out the Halloween sign. Then I used the Imagine cartridge for the Base layout shape . Then I used Recollection All Season Paper. There is a sheet of paper that has little icons and I just cut out the witching hour sign.
This was simple but what a great card to give to someone for Halloween.

this is the inside and these two signs were from the paper stack that I use for the front! Thank you for stopping by. Well  stop by tomorrow to see what I made for  Scrapbooking Saturday! Have a great crafting day!

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room's
100 Cartridge Blog Hop!

You should have come from Pat's blog, if not please go to My Cricut Craft Room's Blog to start at the beginning.

* Be sure to try to stop at each blog and leave some love because these fantabulous ladies worked really hard on these projects!

Four out of Five projects all were used from the Pogado Cartridge. I told Erica one day that I would never use this cartridge, and that's when she told me to not be so close minded! So guess what this IS one of my favorite cartridges! I love love this cartridge!  Look below and you will see why!

This is a card that I had made. I used embossing powders for the LIVE,LAUGH, and LOVE words. I also embossed the frilly design next to both sides of the card! I used gliter puff paints to make the tree stand out a little bit more.

This layout I had made for my daughter she loves pandas.

This is a Tag that I made . I cut the top paper at 5" and the bottom layer at 6". The lettering was embossed using gold powder!

This card was such a blast to make. Used the cuttlebug and embossed the red paper. Then I used Glitter puff paints to add a little more detail!

Festive Friday~ALL

Hello to all my crafty friends.Welcome to another Festive Friday at My Cricut Craft Room. I came up with this great Fall decor for my house. This was a fun project. I will show you the steps how I made this .
I used the Fancy Frames Cartridge.

This is the easel that I also made from the Fancy Frames. Below I will show you the steps how I made this!

The Gold,Red, and Brown metallic paper was just metallic card stock paper. The Fall stamps that I used is from the Recollection stamp collection.
The gold wording is Gold embossing powder that I did. I'm telling you ever since I was taught to emboss I love doing it. Also I put some Orange glitter embellishment to add a little more to the Frame.
I made the cuts 8 inches

I lined the two sides up so they match up.

Then I added the third piece to finish the easel. This is how I made this fantastic project for Fall. I hope I gave you a great idea to make your own decor. Hope everyone has a great Crafty Day!

Beach Day Theme Day Thursday!

Hey there, Today is Beach Day Theme Day Thursday at My Cricut Craft Room . I had visited Erica last week and she gave me some great pointers on embossing and stamping. I was always intimidated by stamps and that word EMBOSSING. It sounded so hard, but really it is so simple. Once you know how to emboss you will know longer use glitter and glue on anything ever again. She also taught me how to use the heat gun as well. So in my project I wanted to show what I have learned and to tell you the truth not bad for being my first time embossing.

The basic card layout was from the cartridge JUST BECAUSE CARDS. I love this cartridge. I use it a lot for the cards I make. ( Pointer) Erica taught me to use the two sided paper for cards that way the inside matches the outside and also it looks so much more professional. My mistakes when I made cards was that i would just use the paper from the paper mats and get so frustrated because the inside would always be WHITE. Now I know why (Giggle)
The clouds stamp is from My Pink Design! I love this because it just turns out so nice using this stamp. I used light  blue embossing powder. (Pointer) Erica told me when you use the embossing powder to flick the paper and don't blow on it because the powder some how spreads to where it is supposed to go when you flick it, and when you blow it, lets just say its a mess.
The celebrate Whoo Hoo stamp is actually from the dollar section of Michael's. This stamp came out better than I thought it would be. (Pointer) Don't forget when you use your stamps right afterwards make sure you clean them right away because if you don't that is one way you can mess them up.
The sun was created by using the DESIGNER CALENDER Cartridge .
The Palm tree was so much fun making and that was made using the "DUDE" Cartridge.
Well this is how I made this Awesome Beach card. I really hope that I gave you some good ideas for you when you emboss and make your cards. Come back tomorrow to see what I made for Festive Friday at My Cricut Craft Room. Have a Fantabulous Crafting Day!

IMAGINE-aition MONDAY !!

Hello Hello welcome to Monday's Theme Imagine-ation . What this is if you are new to my blog is you have to make something using the Imagine Cricut Machine and of course your imagination! This was such a cool project because I do not own an Imagine. I had to use my sister-in-laws in order to this project. Let me tell you I LOVED IT!! Yes it is time consuming because I don't know all the function and special keys yet but let me tell you when I get my Imagine for Christmas I will be super excited and I will help everyone who is also new to this product. I love my Cricut Expression machine. If you are new to this and need help or have questions please let me know and I would love to help you all out!!

The Cartridge that I used was Imagine More Cards Art Cartridge. Now remember I am new to this I know that I did pick this card right out of the book.I did do something different than the book's sample..I changed the Firs layer part. It was supposed to be a red outline with red polka dots and I changed it to the newspapers background. I thought it fit the theme with the type writer! What do you all think??  I also cut the card at 5.4".

Here is the Inside of the card and I put some sticky adhesive glue the top edge of the card so it could open and close. I basically duplicated this from the card but I didn't add the words or the type writer picture. Erica did help me!!

Here is the envelope that I also made for this card. This was all made from the Imagine Cricut Machine. Like I said this was my very first Imagine project. I thank Erica for taking the time to help me learn a little from this Machine.
If you like this project wait till Tuesday project Card Day! Also I just wanted to let everyone know that Wednesday's theme Would You Ever Guess?? Is going to be a little bit different. Erica asked me to do the same design for this project as hers, but I would take home the project and design it differently than hers. Boy did I come up with something spectacular. So don't forget to visit Wednesday as well. Well thank you for taking the time to look at all my projects and ideas. If any of you need help or want to know more how I made these crafts just leave me a comment and I will respond to you as soon as I can. Have a Wonderful Monday!
