Home Decor and More Hop!

Welcome to the Home Decor & More blog hop. This is a 2 day event, so be sure and join us both days for even more projects! Our host is Cicily the Pink Dalmatian Scrapbooker. If you came from  Robin Scott, then you're in the right spot. If you want to start from the beginner than head on over to http://pinkdalmationscrapper.blogspot.com/ and hop your way thru some amazing home decor. The Pink Dalmatian is giving away blog candy, you can see all the details on her post. Some of the other hoppers may be giving away candy to so be sure & check them out.
We all have drawers, closets & possibly rooms full of scrapbooking supplies. Those beautiful, colorful supplies don't have to be limited to our pages. We hope to inspire you to use your supplies in Home Decor projects that add that special touch to our homes.

This project was inspired by one my fellow Crafting friends.. Her name is Scrappin Madge. She had made some fabulous wine glasses with green glitter on the stem of the glass and on the bottom of them. So when I seen them I knew I had to make something like those!

So check out  what I had made!

Ingredients:
Glitter
 Can of Spray Adhesive
Candle Holder
Vellum
Embellishments
Cupcake Wrappers ( Cricut Cartridge)
Tea Light
Duck Tape
Aerosol Hairspray

Instructions:

Candle Holder
Take a Dollar Store Glass Candle Holder and Duck Tape , and tape around the areas that you do not want glitter at.
Spray the glass with Spray Adhesive and then sprinkle glitter on it. Then Spray hair spray on it and then the hard part "LET IT DRY"
Then Take the tape off...

Candle Holder Shade
Take Vellum and Cut your design out from the Cupcake Wrapper Cartridge. Cut 3 cupcake wrappers at 21/2" (Note: The more simpler it is the better the shade turns out) Just ask my husband we went round and on this lol.. He had me cutting out like 10 different ones .. Anyways.. Then finish putting the wrapper together and turn upside and there's your shade..How cool is that??
Then take embellishments and finish your shade and put a tea light in it and you have yourself a inexpensive tea light holder and shade!

If you liked this project wait till you see what I made for tomorrow!! I Love it!!!

these are really cute & clever. Thanks for sharing the details. Does the hairspray really keep the glitter on? I'm a glitter phobe as I hate it getting everywhere! I like the comment about the center pieces. I have a BF getting married & this might be an idea!
