Now on to my Miracle Story.....
I have been living at the Ronald McDonald House  in Greater Cincinnati Ohio since December 26th, because my son Ethan who is 2 has been having breathing complications and I have been fighting each day to help my son get the care that he deserves. He is a 1 year Post Liver Transplant patient. His 1 year mark was February 18th. That is why I wanted to do this Miracle Blog Hop to celebrate his life and celebrate his Hero and Angel. My son was diagnosed with a rare liver disease called Biliary Atresia since at the age of two months old. My son was not born with no bile ducts and so therefore he had a kasi done which is a 4 hr surgery reconstructing his bile ducts and replacing them with artificial stints. My son needed a liver fast because he was not doing so good at the age 8 months and received his liver at the age of 15 months. My son had received a liver from a 4 year old little boy who had accidentally shot himself, because his father who was a sheriff worked long hours and did not lock his gun cabinet. His son had got into it and was playing with his twin brother and he accidentally pulled the trigger. I got the call on February 17th 2:15 pm from his liver transplant coordinater. I cried with tears of joy and sadness.Reality hit hard and I was thinking to myself, how can I actually be happy when a Mother and Father just lost there son and I am gaining my son back. I was in shock.... I felt guilty that I was the lucky one who's son was being saved, and there son could not be saved.
We spent two more months here at the Ronald McDonald House and then went home in May 2011. I had waited 9months 13hrs and 30 Min's for a liver. I am so ever so great full for my son's HERO and  Angel. I can not wait till I can meet this family and actually give them tears of happiness and tell them that there son will always live on...through my son. What We have been through is a Miracle... I have seen God work miraculous on my son and still works on him still to this day.
I almost lost my son three times just during this recent admission and God has shown me patients and  to have a voice for my son!  My son is a Miracle and so is his donor. I have made this  flower arrangement and vase for my son to remember his donor and date!

Green is the Liver Organ color and so I made the Daisy's out of the cricut quilling tool and I also made the Ribbon and date from vinyl. This is my very first time using vinyl.

Now please do me a favor think about Organ Donation! Do you know how many lives you can save! Think about it and the next time you get your ID card or Donate Blood and they ask you if your a donor..just think about it. Think about my Ethan's story and millions like his...

Now the next stop is the fabulous Lisa T. So what are you waiting for Hipity Hop... and enjoy and embrace these stories and don't forget to stop back here and tell me who you vote and leave some love at each one you hop to.Thank you very much for stopping by!

Here is the line up in case you get lost ..

Mel, thank you for sharing Ethan's story with us. Yes, he is definitely a miracle. It is truly an amazing blessing what a gift a family can give during their time of sadness in the form of organ donation. I will say a special prayer for you and Ethan and his continued improvements in health.

I've been promoting Organ donor awareness since a group of my Girl Scouts in a county I was assigned to had a girl need a donation, and was able to receive one. My mother-in-law asked for this to happen when she died and it's great that you are helping to get people's awareness of how important this cause is! I've been following your story, on FB, and prayers are with you! My God heals!! I'm so glad to hear Ethan is improving and know how hard these months are on him,and your entire family! If just one person becomes a donor following this hop, how many lives that could save!!! Awesome!! Thanks for letting me join in! Janet Royer

I love your story and it's a pleasure to know you! I am an organ donor and my husband is a deputy so your story really hits home. I'm thankful for a healthy 2 year old and think of your sweet boy daily when I watch Emily play or sleep. He is a strong strong boy and has a very strong mother with a great strong voice! Hugs and continued prayers and congratulations on the one year anniversary and his continued healing.

Ok, finished the hop, used quite a few tissues and had to take a couple of breaks to hug my Angel face daughter. Everyone has a beautiful story and I can't choose one to win on that so I decided to pick based on projects because that was the only way I could separate from it. :) I liked Autumn's simple clean cards. This was a wonderful, heart warming hop, thank you for organizing it.

Very, very hard decision, but I have to go with Lisa P. and her husband Shawn. The courage and love she has for her husband is overwhelming. When you marry, you don't expect to take care of your spouse, but yet she married him knowing what she was entering. That is true love. Good luck everyone!

Hi Melissa, I've been following your fb posts about your sweet Ethan, prayers are continuing, congrats on your miracle and your milestone. This was a fabulous hop, loved all the inspiring miracles I read about. I have a few miracles of my own to share with you :) Our youngest son was a preemie after a very rough pregnancy he shouldn't have survived, hes now 21. We found out my husband had kidney disease shortly after we were married, 4 yrs ago he had both removed and we had the dialysis machine set up in our bedroom, he was getting sicker and weaker, I got tested and was a perfect match so I gave him a kidney. In recovery the clamps blew off my arteries and I was bleeding to death. They did emergency surgery to save my life and it took me 11 months to recover and get back to work. Less than a yr later I slipped on ice and messed up my back, and haven't worked since Feb. 14. 2011! My back is slowly getting better and with lots of prayers and a little luck I will hopefully be back to work again soon! Please Lord! I am alive to share my miracles but could use another one, we are in a boat that is sinking fast and I need to get back to work to save us from losing everything, or win a lottery, LOL My hubby made me an etched frame to thank me for saving his life, I think I would like to share our story on my blog and the plaque he made for me :)
Have a great day Melissa, I love the vase you made for Ethan, it's very pretty. I'll be thinking of you and Ethan and still praying for him and your future together. Will be so happy for you when your night mare is a memory!
